Structural Integration
Suffering from the Seattle Stoop? Loosing the battle against gravity? Structural integration may be what you need?
Structural Integration is a bodywork modality that works with the fascial system. The approach works to release restrictions and holding patterns that limit us from our greatest expression. Whether it be from injuries, phycological traumas or dysfunctions from brith we carry these patterns throughout our daily lives and we don’t have to. Our bodies are always trying to find balance within the conditions we have established in our lives. Structural Integrations works by finding a way to speak to those patterns and allow them to unwind in their own time.
Is Structural Integration right for me?
Structural Integration or SI is for everyone. Although there can be some contra indications, SI can be helpful to most individuals.
Tell me more you say?
Those that are new to Structural Integration or SI, are introduced to the work through a series of sessions usually about 10-12 sessions. The series is designed for each session to build on to the previous session. This sessions are adapted to best meet the needs of the individual to help them find greater alignment in their posture. The work helps as intended to allow for the restructuring in the body and a rebalancing of tension. As it is said “establishing proper tonicity in the tissues and space between the bones”
But I heard it is painful?
Structural Integration or more commonly know as Rolfing(copyright) has a reputation for being painful. some may attribute this to the demands for change in the body. As it is said “Change ain’t easy.” Other would say it has a forceful manner. I would like to say that with proper communication and study I have not received such feed back and still am able to invoke change within my clients
How to prepare for a session?
These are usually done in the clients undergarments or shorts and females in a sports bra or tank top but loose fitting cloths can work if the client feels more comfortable. the sessions take about an hour to an hour and fifteen minutes. The cost is $150 for the time which can be paid in cash or electronic transfer.

Craniosacral Therapy
What is Cranial-Sacral Therapy?
CST is a modality develop and popularized by John Upleder who drew his work from Dr. Sutherland. The modality works with the cranio-sacral rhythm within the body, arising and falling of inter cranial fluid within the cranium. These rhythm moves from tubas of the spine up through the system creating what is called a flexion and extension that can be felt through the whole body in various ways. Ailments can occur when the body has restriction that limit the expression or flow of that rhythm. By placing hands on the body to sense and adapt that rhythm a new balance can be achieved to reestablish that rhythm.
Is it right for me?
CST can be very effective for various neurological holding patterns, migraines, headaches, depression, and low vagal tone
